As the major operation to carry out the Queen’s lying-in-state procession continues, another huge operation affecting our money, post and military services is going on in the background.

Part of King Charles’s accession will involve changes to our stamps, royal signage and currencies not just in the UK, but around the world.

It’s the first time such changes will have been made for over 70 years, and it could be over a year before all of them are even started.

Lucy Hume, Head of Content for Debrett’s, an organisation which chronicles British society, tells us what the accession process entails, and how King Charles will take on his new responsibilities.

And we speak with Dominic Chorney, a coin specialist from Baldwin’s about how our currency will change, what commonwealth countries will do with their money, and how long Queen Elizabeth will remain on our notes and coins.
