NFL Mock Draft season in 2024 is going to include a ton of trade speculation involving the first pick: Do the Chicago Bears keep the top pick or deal down to a QB-hungry team and keep Justin Fields?
In the latest mock draft from our Christian D’Andrea, he had the Bears keeping the pick, but taking QB Drake Maye out of North Carolina, which then assumes they’d deal Fields.
But in the most recent mock from The Athletic, Nick Baumgardner has the Bears dealing with the Atlanta Falcons, getting the Nos. 8 and 43 picks, plus a future first-rounder and second-rounder. Here’s what he wrote on that, along with the Falcons taking USC’s Caleb Williams:
Of all the QB-needy teams, Atlanta’s roster is the most ready to win. Now, add a new coach and a new face of the franchise. Williams next to running back Bijan Robinson, in an offense with tight end Kyle Pitts and wide receiver Drake London, might sell a ticket or two.
