The Atlanta Falcons are getting some buzz in NFL Mock Drafts this week.
One had them trading up for the No. 1 pick and the chance to take USC’s Caleb Williams. And in the latest NFL mock from our Christian D’Andrea, the Birds grabbed Heisman Trophy-winning QB Jayden Daniels out of LSU, which would be super intriguing.
In the latest mock draft from CBS’s Chris Trapasso, the Falcons get Fields and a sixth-rounder in exchange for three picks including a second-rounder. And after that? They would take Jer’Zhan Newton, the defensive tackle out of Illinois. Here’s the reasoning behind that pick:
The Falcons snagged a defensive tackle with similar traits to Grady Jarrett on the interior. Pass-rush specialist.
