HBO’s The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal has appeared alongside a ‘clicker’ in a skit for Saturday Night Live (SNL). The Chilean-American actor, 47, is set to host the long-running US comedy show on Saturday (February 4), alongside musical guests Coldplay.
Ahead of his appearance, Pascal has shared a clip on Instagram of a promotional video for the show, which includes a creature recognisable to fans of The Last of Us TV series and video game. The video opens with Pascal basking under the lights of the iconic SNL studio.
“Little Pedro Pascal from Santiago, Chile hosting Saturday Night Live... wild,” he says before being startled by something being knocked over in the background.

As he goes to investigate, and the music suddenly turns ominous, the actor comes face-to-face with a zombie-like creature, known in The Last of Us as a ‘clicker’. Pascal then grabs a hammer, and moves to attack the violent creature.

But before he can, SNL cast members Sarah Sherman and Molly Kearney quickly intervene, preventing him from harming who he comically learns is the show’s brand-new cast member, Matt.

“Not the best first impression,” Pascal is told after the comical mishap.
It comes after Episode three of The Last of Us has been universally lauded as one of the “best episodes of television ever” after it aired on Monday (January 30).
