The Last Of Us star Bella Ramsey made a bizarre admission about their eating habits in a recent interview alongside co-star Pedro Pascal. Bella, 19, who defines as non-binary, plays Ellie in the HBO show, said they love eating cornflakes with orange juice instead of milk.
The Nottingham star was being quizzed over the last thing they ate and they said: "Mine was cornflakes and bran with dried strawberries in... with orange juice on top instead of milk." A shocked Pedro then questioned Bella: "Orange juice?"
Ramsey replied: "So good. There once wasn't milk I could drink, there wasn't oat milk or almond milk, so I just tried orange juice on it. Years ago! And I loved it. And it's been a thing ever since."
Pedro then further asked: "How's it on your tummy?" A fan shared the clip of the interview on Twitter and many were quick to react to the odd combination.
One person tweeted: "Cereal with orange juice … bella I can't defend you." Another wrote: 'No matter how much I love bella ramsey, I am NEVER eating cereal and orange juice.'
A third added: "No matter how much i love Bella Ramsey, i am NEVER eating cereal and orange juice." Another commented: "Bella Ramsey really got hundreds of b***** eating cereal with orange juice today this is crazy."
It comes after earlier this week Bella revealed they were the victim of 'painful' trolling about their looks after first being cast in the smash hit show, Daily Mail reports. They admitted they were taunted by 'everyone' online for their 'square head'.
Telling GQ : "You're looking for a comment that's more painful than the last one, I'd kid myself that I was doing it in jest". Bella went on to admit: "I wish I could say that I was confident enough [already] that it hasn't affected me in any way, but it has."
The actor said that despite the trolling they are proud of the work on the post apocalyptic series. "I'm just glad I could do that for them and for the show and for Ellie. I want to do her justice."
The show is already a huge hit, renewed for a second season and earning rave reviews from fans and critics alike. The Last of Us is based on the video game created by Neil Druckmann, which debuted for the PlayStation 3 in 2013 and became one of the best-selling video games of all time. The story is set in the aftermath of a worldwide plague after the mutated cordyceps fungus decimated humanity.
The show follows Joel, who is tasked with taking Ellie - who is somehow immune to the fungus - out West in hope of developing a cure. HBO announced when it renewed the show for Season 2 that the series premiere episode has surpassed 22 million viewers through on-demand formats, five times the audience for the linear broadcast.
Episode 2 of The Last of Us tallied 5.7 million viewers across HBO Max and linear telecasts in the U.S. Sunday night, based on Nielsen and first party data, adding more than 1 million new viewers vs. the series premiere.
