A lone tenant has become the final resident standing on a Bedfordshire street being cleared to make way for Universal's planned £5 billion theme park, with Ritchie Wood refusing to give up his rented home despite demolition work already beginning around him.

Wood, 55, has lived in his three-bedroom cottage on Manor Road in Kempston Hardwick for 11 years. As neighbouring properties have emptied, the street has gradually transformed into a construction zone for the Universal United Kingdom Resort, which is expected to open in 2031.
