London Mayor Sadiq Khan has said the expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone (Ulez) is "crucial" following a new study that estimates a 40 per cent reduction in deaths linked to toxic air across the capital over five years.
The Ulez, which now stands as the world’s largest pollution charging zone, was initially extended across inner London in October 2021.
