A luxury villa formerly owned by the Kennedy family has entered the market for approximately $35 million (€31.5 million).
The 1920s home, designed by French architect Jacques Couëlle, is the crown of a 44-acre estate in the Côte d’Azur countryside – complete with an abundance of olive trees and floral gardens. The villa, formally known as Domaine de Beaumont, served as a vacation home for the Kennedy family while patriarch Joseph Patrick Kennedy worked as the US Ambassador to the UK from 1938 to 1940.
Throughout his time in office, the family often visited the French Riviera, and some reports suggest that a young JFK learned to swim in the 65-foot swimming pool.

And, while the exteriors are something to behold, the interiors are just as noteworthy. Today, the home pays homage to its 1920s roots, with many architectural features (including curved windows and high ceilings) resembling the Kennedy days. The entryway, living room, and dining room are adorned with historical artworks and chandeliers in a nod to its glamorous zip code.
Other remnants of the estate's heritage are further visible through its furnishings, from its antique treasures to the original fireplace – the latter of which was also designed by Jacques Couëlle. There is also a generously sized kitchen, a sauna, and a sprawling terrace that will no doubt impress guests as much today as it did in the Kennedy family's era.
The first floor also boasts a breakfast lounge, a screening room, a temperature-controlled wine cellar, and the main bedroom suite – complete with a marble bath and a huge walk-in closet. There are a further eight bedrooms around the property, offering ample room for guests who choose to party on the terrace.
Alongside the historic pool, the grounds hold a tennis court, an olive grove, landscaped flower gardens, and an opportunity to keep horses in stables and a quarry. The home sits just 20 minutes from the celebrity playground of Cannes, while the center of Nice is approximately half an hour away.
