The times they are a-changin’ but there’s one thing that stays the same — our undying love and thirst for Adam Brody.
Ever since his break-out role in The O.C, Brody became a fixture in the minds of the girls, the gays and the theys for his portrayal of Seth Cohen. You see, although we were positioned to have the hots for Ryan, the bad boy with a good heart played by Ben McKenzie, it was Seth’s lovable, slightly dorky antics that cemented him as one of the best television boyfriends of all time.
It’s been more than 20 years since The O.C premiered but in the last two weeks, a fire for a certain curly brown-haired actor has been reignited thanks to Brody’s most recent role in Netflix’s Nobody Wants This.
Nobody Wants This is about an agnostic podcaster named Joanne — played by fellow early 2000s icon Kristen Bell — who falls head over heels for a hot Rabbi named Noah (Adam Brody).
The romantic-comedy series is loosely based on the life of podcaster Erin Foster and it has quickly become one of the year’s hottest new releases since its premiere in September.
There are a bunch of reasons for the show’s success. The sizzling chemistry between two nostalgic millennial icons, the quick dialogue and the surprisingly optimistic love story are big factors. But the biggest? The fact that Noah’s character just seems like a grown-up version of Seth Cohen.
Well, if he decided to get really into his faith and give Chrismukkah a miss.
As you’d expect, people on social media have been very upfront about their yearning for Brody. After all, isn’t it sweet when your heartthrob grows up with you? Wholesome.
Anyway, to celebrate Adam Brody’s existence, please join me in having a giggle at some of the thirstiest tweets online about Brody and his hot Rabbi character.
That was fun, wasn’t it?
If you haven’t already binged Nobody Wants This, ignore your responsibilities and head to Netflix to stream season one right now. We’re yet to hear whether the show has been greenlit for a season two, but you better believe I’ll let you know the moment it is.
