A restaurant on the outskirts of Caernarfon has been awarded the title of Best Asian Restaurant in Wales at the Asian Restaurant Awards 2022. Sopna Tandoori, which can be found among the green landscape on Llanberis Road in Rhosbodrual, received the accolade during a ceremony in Manchester.
Crowned the regional winner for Wales, the Indian eatery wowed judges with its "authentic home style Indian cuisine with a taste of distinction" - such as chicken, lamb or prawn shashlick, delicious balti dishes and their own Sopna special biryani.
Sopna Tandoori, which also offers a takeaway service, is much-loved by visitors far and wide and has received rave reviews on Tripadvisor with a 4.5 star rating - one customer dubbed the Indian restaurant "Super Sopna" for its tasty meals and excellent service.
