People have shown their admiration towards Prince George and Princess Charlotte during the late Queen's funeral on Monday. The funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-serving monarch, was held at Westminster Abbey in London today.
Many of her family members, including King Charles III, the Queen Consort, Princess Anne and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were there to watch the former Queen be laid to rest. The new Prince and Princess of Wales - William and Kate attended the funeral with their nine-year-old son, George, and their seven-year-old daughter, Charlotte.
While their four-year-old younger brother, Louis, was considered too young to attend the funeral, the royal siblings took prominent roles in the service as the youngest mourners to follow the Queen's coffin as they marched through the abbey. The Queen's great-grandson and now second in line to the throne wore a dark blue suit and black tie and walked alongside their father, Prince William, while his younger sister wore a black dress and wide-brimmed hat and walked alongside their mother, Catherine.

Many took to social media to express their admiration and respect towards the young royals. Twitter user, Pooja, said: "A huge well done to Prince George and Princess Charlotte today, who have been impeccably dignified throughout! Their great 'Gan-Gan' would be so proud of them both". Another Twitter user called Goodboygoo said: "For everyone who had a negative comment about Prince Louis's behaviour shush now because Princess Charlotte and Prince George's behaviour at their grandmother's funeral was impeccable."
Susan Flipping wrote: "I really hope the sad and respectful composure of Prince George and Princess Charlotte at Queen's Funeral will convince more people that children can be allowed to attend the funeral of a much-loved family member. It can be just as important for them to say goodbye as for adults."
Kate's Power Suit said: "With Prince George and Princess Charlotte at the funeral of their Gan Gan, they can see how loved and well respected she truly was. How she was known around the world and touched so many lives". Twitter user Kat wrote: "Can we take a moment to appreciate Prince George and Princess Charlotte! Whether you agree with them being at the funeral or not, they were the most well behaved 9 & 7 year olds!"
