The ECHO has taken a look at some of the best properties for sale which are a stone's throw away from some of the region's famous parks.
There's very little in life that tops an autumn stroll as the leaves are starting to change and here on Merseyside we're lucky to have some of the most beautiful parks in the North West.
Sefton Park is arguably the most famous in Liverpool; the 235-acre site includes a boating lake and café, as well as plenty of places to stop and watch the world go by. It's also near a number of bustling local areas such as Lark Lane and Aigburth Road.

In the last year, properties around Sefton Park sold for an average of £192,704, the majority of which were flats. However, this house on Arundel Avenue is on the market with Abode for offers in excess of £380,000.
The four-bedroom, two bathroom terrace is deceptively spacious, with large bay windows and feature fireplaces. The current owners have put their stamp on the home with decorative tiling and splashes of rich colour.
Also in south Liverpool is Calderstones Park , equally as beautiful as its counterpart but certainly on the smaller side.
On Garth Drive is another property that is in need of modernisation, but the finished product would be stunning. On the market for a little under £1m with Find Your Eden, the double fronted home was built in the 1920s and is just minutes away from the park.
The property features three receptions rooms, a kitchen, utility room, five bedrooms, a bathroom, a WC and a detached garage.
A four-bed house is for sale on Calder Grange, nestled between Calderstones Park and Allerton Manor Golf Club.
Care and attention has been paid by the current owners to its interior, which is beautifully decorated in neutral tones with splashes of blues and teals. The property is on the market for £675,000 with Newman Property Experts.
In north of Liverpool in West Derby is Croxteth Park, famed for its Grade II-listed stately home.
This uniquely shaped bungalow on Dalegarth Avenue is nestled into woodland and is on the doorstep of the 500-acre park, which also has a farm and a number of play areas.
Despite being set on one level there are mounds of living space, with two lounges, a massive kitchen diner and a study, which could also be used as a bedroom. The house is on the market with Whitegates for £420,000.
Hesketh Park is one of the largest in Southport and the Victorian attraction is surrounded by stately villas.
On Roe Lane, a detached house with five bedrooms is up for grabs. It's immaculately presented, with two lounges and a vast kitchen with enough space for a diner. The property is on the market with Chris Tinsley Estate Agents for £330,000.
Over the water lies Birkenhead Park , a 'pioneer for public parks across the world' which inspired one of New York's most famous landmarks. Central Park's designer Frederick Law Olmstead was inspired following a visit to the Wirral in 1850.
This stunning period residence on Park Road South in Prenton is sprawled over four floors and actually provides access to the park via a back gate. It is on the market with Karl Tatler for £488,000.
The Georgian property has been revamped 'to the highest standard' while retaining its character, and boasts a staggering seven bedrooms and four bathrooms.
It also benefits from a 'granny flat', a spacious two-bed annexe housed in the former basement, which also provides access to a large, sunken patio area in the garden.
