There will be more than just thrilling rides to get your teeth into as The Hoppings makes its return to Newcastle after three years away this weekend.
It's been far too long since Geordies have got dizzy from too many turns on the waltzers, held onto their stomachs whilst braving big white knuckle rides like the MACH5, had their fortunes told or hooked a duck but, on Friday, June 17, it will be finally time for the much loved funfair to welcome visitors once again.
The Hoppings opening hours and The Hoppings ride list for this year have long since been confirmed but one of the big new additions for 2022 will be the Feast Street food and drink village, which will boast stretch tents, tables and benches and its very own bar. While food has always been part and parcel of The Hoppings, with the likes of chips, noodles, candy floss and doughnuts widely available, things are being taken up a notch this time round, with a host of well known local vendors setting out their stalls at the Town Moor.

There are some instantly recognisable names in the food line-up for this year, like Stack and Grainger Market favourites Acropolis, as well as another former Stack staple, HAatch76, who earned rave reviews for their duck wraps and loaded fries.
