A sign has appeared at the bottom of a Leeds street criticising the 'stupid, thin road'.
If you're driving up St Anne's Lane from Burley Road, you'll be greeted by the sign just under the 20mph speed limit at the junction. St Anne's Lane is indeed narrow, and at the bottom two cars are unable to pass side by side.
That means that cars are often left backed up and waiting on Burley Road while others come down. Residents have also warned that the narrow road has led to crashes in the past and that they think it's 'dangerous'.

There doesn't appear to be any other signage to indicate the road being so narrow. And the 'stupid thin road' sign looks to have made an appearance before - as it can be seen on the Google Street View taken in July 2022.
Some residents have been fed up with the narrow lane for a while, and have posted on social media about vans parking on the street and essentially blocking the whole lane. There are double yellow lines at the bottom of the street near the turning to Burley Road, but not further up, where it remains just as narrow.
Burley residents have even called in the past, going as far back as 2019, for the road to become one way to stop the issues with traffic, particularly at busy times of day.
