The Great British Bake Off fans were devastated after Noel Fielding missed the final due to falling sick.
The final kicked off after weeks of baking, decorating and soggy bottoms left the competition with only three bakers left. Facing their toughest challenge yet, Sandro, Syabria and Abdul battled it out to be crowned the king or queen of the Bake Off tent.
During their usual introduction, Matt Lucas issued a devastating announcement that sent shockwaves through the tent. Comedian Noel Fielding, who presents the show alongside Matt, was absent from his usual post as he had to pull out last minute.

Matt said Noel wouldn't be joining the finalists as a sudden sickness left him feeling too unwell to carry on. The usual chaotic energy he brings to the show was missing from the episode with his absence felt instantly by viewers.
One fan said: "Gutted that Noel is missing the final!" Another added: "You could see the heartbreak in Sandro’s eyes when he heard Noel wasn’t there."
A third said: "No Noel?? Can't cope!!!" A final added: "No Noel in the #GBBO finale?! Why am I even watching this??"
Drawing the episode to a close, Noelbriefly returned as his co-stars admitted they missed him. No further comments were made as to what Noel was battling but he too said he was sad to have missed out on half of the show.
