The Great Bristol Run 2023 officially opened for entry on Tuesday (October 25). To mark the announcement, early bird prices mean runners can get a 20 per cent discount on the cost of their entry up until Tuesday, November 10, 2022, at 10am.
Early bird entry for the 10k race is currently priced at £29 while the half marathon is £37 per runner. The family race is priced at £12 per entry and is not subject to an early bird discount. There is also an additional £2 booking fee for the race.
Bristol's 10k and half marathon races will both take place in the city on Sunday, May 14 next year starting at We The Curious. The event will once again start on Anchor Road and take runners past some of the city’s most famous landmarks and along the vibrant waterfront, before a grandstand finish alongside Millennium Square.

Entries for the Great Bristol Family Run taking place on the same day are also open now. The popular kids' event gives budding runners their own big event experience complete with a finisher’s medal.
This year, the Great Bristol Run was hosted on September 25 which saw as many as 15,000 runners take to the streets across the three races. Organisers promised the race's biggest year yet, with a live DJ at the start line and the new Run Thru zone that featured an on-course entertainment area to keep runners motivated.
The event is held to raise money for charity, with good causes across Bristol, the West of England and beyond benefitting from the sponsorship money people have raised. There is also an elite athletes' race, club runners testing themselves on the iconic course, and a wheelchair and visually-impaired race too.
