Greta Gerwig’s Barbie was released earlier this year, and it has inspired countless inside jokes, memes, and now costumes. The San Francisco Giants have huge Barbie dreams, and it’s giving big “Ken-ergy.”
In an annual rookies tradition that produces phenomenal photos, the Giants did not disappoint. During a recent road trip, the 2023 rookies gathered for fun, and a local reporter realized what was happening in real time.
Instead of all dressing the same, each rookie came dressed as different versions of the character Ken. There was Rollerblading Ken, Mechanic Ken, and, of course, Cowboy Ken.
Fans instantly asked her to share, and though she couldn’t take photos inside the clubhouse, pictures and videos from the Giants’ Twitter account and other players’ accounts slowly trickled in.
