The Garmin Instinct 2 Solar has long been one of my favorite sports watches, and it's down to a record low price of £199.99 right now for Amazon Prime Day. It's the first time this epic watch has ever dropped below £239, and if you've been thinking of upgrading, it's an offer not to be missed.
The Garmin Instinct 2 Solar is a seriously tough sports watch that boasts impressive GPS accuracy, a full suite of training tools particularly aimed at runners, and remarkable battery life. It can run for up to 28 days in smartwatch mode, or indefinitely with sufficient exposure to sunlight, making it perfect for multi-day adventures.
When I reviewed it for Advnture's sister site TechRadar, I gave it a full five stars out of five, noting that it "takes the best features of the original Instinct, including its super tough case and high-contrast dual-screen display, and gives the whole package an overhaul that makes it fun rather than austere."

The only potential drawback of the Instinct 2 Solar is its screen, which is a monochrome memory-in-pixel (MiP) display. This has high contrast and uses minimal power (it only draws on the battery when a pixel changes), but isn't ideal for maps. Other than that, though, this is one of the best watches I've ever tested in my many years of reviewing sports tech, and comes highly recommended.
