The future of ice cream flavours could be custard, syrup and baked beans

There's another heatwave around the corner this month - and what better way to cool down than a scoop or two of ice cream. We all have our favourites - strawberry, chocolate or even just vanilla. But how does a scoop of Heinz baked beans or PG Tips tea grab you?

Don't fancy it? How about a scoop of Lea&Perrins sorbet or a Kikkoman soy sauce and Heinz Tomato Ketchup cone? These are just a few of the bizarre ice cream flavours on offer at a London ice-cream pop-up shop this summer. The Ice Cream Project is the latest brainchild of upmarket designer Anya Hindmarsh, and if you happen to be visiting the capital, you can give them a try until August 28.

As well as the iconic British brands mentioned above, there are some less outlandish flavours on offer, such as Bird’s custard, Coco Pops, Frosties and Lyle's golden syrup.
