The four key players Ralf Rangnick will be without for Manchester United's clash with Arsenal

Arsenal and Mikel Arteta have a huge week ahead of them. Following their win over Chelsea in midweek, the Gunners are sat in fifth, level with north London rivals Tottenham in fourth for the final Champions League place.

With a tough run in front of them, the challenge of Manchester United is up next. The Red Devils recently announced the appointment of Erik ten Hag as their new manager for next season, but face an uphill battle to qualify for the Champions League.

Discussing the challenge ahead, Arteta claimed there would be more twists to come in his pre-match press conference: “I think there are going to be a lot of twists still. That’s what we have to do, perform and play well tomorrow to deserve to win the match, which I think will be difficult.”

The Red Devils are set to miss some key players for the clash, so with all that said, here’s a look at who won’t be in contention.

Luke Shaw

An England hero last summer, Shaw has struggled this season and injury looks set to have ended it prematurely. The left-back suffered an injury in his foot against Leicester, leaving him in a foot brace and out of action for at least four weeks.

Fred

The midfielder missed the side's defeat to Liverpool last time out and is set to narrowly miss a return against Arsenal, with Rangnick claiming he will be an option for the Chelsea game after.

Paul Pogba

The French midfielder may well have played his last game for Manchester United, with his contract up at the end of the season, as injury is set to rule him out for an extended period of time. He was taken off ten minutes into their clash with Liverpool, and Rangnick confirmed he won’t be available.

Edinson Cavani

The striker has struggled throughout the season with multiple different injuries. His latest was picked up in the Champions League tie with Atletico Madrid, which is set to end his season.
