Cameroon started their World Cup campaign on Thursday with a Group G clash against Switzerland.
In Cameroon’s group, they will also take on Brazil and Serbia, with the two of those sides taking on each other in their first matches of the tournament on Thursday night.
Many West Ham United supporters watching along may recognise the man leading Cameroon to this World Cup, with Rigobert Song managing Cameroon at the tournament.

During his playing days, Song played 137 times for Cameroon as a defender and scored five goals for them, representing his country in the 1994, 1998, 2002 and 2010 World Cups.
In his club career, he spent time in the Premier League with two clubs in England. Between 1999 and 2000, Song played 38 times for Liverpool before moving to West Ham, where he made 28 outings for the Hammers before moving to Germany and briefly playing for Koln.
Cameroon’s opening game against Switzerland could feature a former West Ham midfielder. Edmilson Fernandes is in the Switzerland squad but has started the game on the bench.
