When this home came across my desk, I knew I was in for a treat. A chic mid-century home nestled in the luscious pines of upstate New York, with a creative homeowner who took on the remodel as a passion project, was enough to pique my interest, but add to that that this home is also one of the last homes designed by the renowned Frank Lloyd Wright and I just had to know more.
The Zaferiou House stands proud within a scenic woodland on the west bank of the Hudson. A jaw-droppingly beautiful retreat that feels aligned with its stunning natural surroundings, it's a shining example of Wright's iconic architectural prowess and ability to blend the contemporary with the organic. Honoring Wright's long-standing legacy, its current owner and interior designer, Sarah Magness, brought its interiors back to life.
