A brand new report from the UK Government has detailed when Scottish homes could be doused in darkness, as part of possible blackouts this winter.
The final stage of a series of plans in the event of a gas supply shortage were revealed last month, as Edinburgh Live reported that households may face power cuts of up to three hours. The planned blackouts would most likely occur on weekday evenings in January and February - particularly when it is cold.
These documents were in circulation before the energy crisis occurred, and show when and who would be affected by the 'worst case scenario' of a planned blackout. However, the National Grid ESO has stated that these blackouts are "unlikely" to happen.
