The Princess of Wales swapped suits and stilettos for a raincoat and hiking boots to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge, raising funds for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity following her remission.
Kate Middleton undertook the gruelling 23-mile trek in 24 hours, climbing the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon).
“I have taken on the National Three Peaks Challenge, not simply as a physical endeavour but as a chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back,” she wrote on Instagram. “The Royal Marsden is a place that holds great meaning for me and whose care and expertise are life changing for so many people.”
