The ending of Bucks-Celtics Game 3 was an absolutely chaotic sequence of events and it was great

If you somehow missed Bucks-Celtics Game 3, just go back and watch the last 50.0 seconds. It’s all you need to see.

Trailing 100-99, Giannis Antetokounmpo took the inbound after a Milwaukee timeout and euro-stepped his way to the lane to finish a layup that would put the Bucks up 101-100.

Ok, now to the other end.

Jaylen Brown races up the left sideline, puts a move on Jrue Holiday, and then bursts to the basket only to meet Giannis at the rim for an uncontested miss.

Back the other way — 33 seconds left.

Holiday iso’s left and absorbs a Jayson Tatum bump (offensive foul?) and spins off of a tumbling Tatum to drop in a floater down the middle of the lane to give Milwaukee a three-point lead.

Timeout Celtics. They draw up something that doesn’t work, but the ball ends up in Marcus Smart’s hands as he comes off of a dribble handoff. He’s immediately raked across the arm by Holiday as he attempts a three.

But, wait. It was BEFORE the shot???

You be the judge:

Anyways, Smart went to the line to attempt the gold ole “make the first, miss the second and get an offensive rebound” strategy that never works out. Until it does.

After connecting on the first, Smart launched the second free throw attempt off the rim and then chaos ensued. I can’t even begin to explain. Just watch:

What a crazy but entertaining finish to a playoff game. Game 4 is going to be fantastic.
