Around 150,000 visitors are expected when the East Midland's biggest free family festival makes a return to Nottingham this summer. Riverside Festival will be back at Victoria Embankment from Friday August 4 to Sunday August 6, with two spectacular firework displays.
Crowds will find a wide range of entertainment and activities for all ages at the three-day event along alongside the River Trent. They can look forward to a mile-long stretch of fairground rides, games and attractions, plus street food vendors, bars and market stalls. River-based activities including dragon boat racing will return, which has raised thousands of pounds for charities over the years.
Music has always been at the heart of Riverside Festival, and this year is no different with a variety of solo artists, bands and musicians performing across three stages. The Monument Stage will have world music performances that are not usually seen in Nottingham, including innovative global beats. Headliners Buffo’s Wake take to the stage on Friday evening, armed with accordions, violins and a bucket full of gusto, supported by the Afrobeat and reggae-inspired Soothsayers.
