I will be the first to admit it: When I saw the tweets about the Philadelphia Eagles practicing to “Creed,” I assumed it was the movie soundtrack to the Michael B. Jordan film.
Makes sense, right? Because Creed is a spinoff of Rocky and all of that is a Philadelphia story. And the Eagles would want to tap into that.
But no. On Friday, as reporters in attendance noted, they’re practicing to Creed THE BAND! As in Higher!
Why? I haven’t seen any reasons thrown out there, but maybe there’s symbolism in wondering if the team can take itself higher.
