After months upon months of teasing and trolling from Blizzard, and an epic hunt via the Cow Level Discord, the Diablo 4 Cow Level has finally been found. For real this time, and it drops a pretty bonkers Mythic Unique for completion, the Cow King's Crown with an item level 666 and special attributes that change depending on day of the week.
Without further amoo, let's jump into it.
How to get to the Diablo 4 Cow Level
The method to get to the Cow Level in Diablo 4 is a lot more of a breadcrumb trail to follow than it has been in previous games, so to save you some time, I'd like to direct your attention to the brilliantly helpful guide from community member LoatheBurger, linked above.
The short version is that, remember that sin we burned in the fire at the very beginning of the campaign in Kyovoshad? Well, the quest starts with going back there and burning your sins, and then going on a wild chase to collect Neyrelle's Arm, Stam Pot, and a Rusted Bardiche to combine in the Horadric Cube. These items all have their own individual quest lines to complete to acquire them.
Once you've combined these to get the Torn Page relic, you'll sail an Outcasts boat from the Eastern shore to the last area, where you find Cows sat suspiciously in a darkened room. Oh, and you can only then get through to the Cow Portal by killing these cows on a Tuesday.
The activation is tied to real-world timing. The portal officially unlocked at 4:00 p.m. PT on Monday, marking the Tuesday reset across various global regions. If you are having trouble, ensure you are following the sequence on or after this weekly reset window.

You'll be grateful to know that after following all the steps to reach the Cow Level the first time, you can repeat it much easier and bring people with you.
The Cow King's Crown Mythic Unique
Once you've entered the Cow Level and slaughtered the inhabitants, you'll be rewarded with this Mythic Unique, the Cow King's Crown which has some silly buffs depending on the day of the week.
- Monday - +1 Damage to Two-Legged Enemies
- Tuesday - 10% Decreased chance to be unlucky against yay-Distant enemies. A yay-distant enemie is between 3-18 hooves equal distant when placed parallel to the equator on this afternoon
- Wednesday - Chance to reduce enemy Cooldown (No)
- Thursday - After picking up a Legendary item, gain 3% more damage to Bullnerable Stunned non-Elites between the hours of 3AM and 4AM for 2.5 seconds
- Friday - +10.26% Moobility damage while mooving
- Saturday - 1.3 % chance to ignore Crowd Control if you have already been Crowd Controlled for over 10 weeks in Helltide
- Sunday - +51 Life on Death (+Maybe)
As you can probably gather, it's udderly useless. But it's pretty damn funny and you will have the bragging rights of showing off that you went to the ends of the earth just to slay some demon cows for it.
The best loot in Diablo has always been the stuff that takes real, in game effort, not the skins that you find in the shop, so obtaining this is exactly what I'm going to be doing this evening!
