A trendy fire pit is becoming popular with Aldi shoppers - it is a campfire and barbecue all in one. The Aldi Gardenline Geometric Fire Pit is deceptively spacious, says Emma Gill from the Manchester Evening News, who tried it out.
She said: "We had eight sausages and a pack of four burgers on it for our first attempt and there was still room for plenty more. Having previously used a gas barbie, it made us realise that we've been missing some of the flavour and juicy texture you get from cooking with charcoal.
"With full stomachs and the night chills setting in, it wasn't much effort at all to get the fire pit started. Well the other half wasn't doing any huffing and puffing over it anyway. He simply replaced the charcoal with some wooden logs and firelighters and off it went. The mesh lid helped contain the embers during what was quite a windy evening, but it was also easy to remove when it was time to melt some marshmallows for those all-important s'mores. I didn't say we were that full.

"With its stone effect exterior, this thing really looks the part and fulfils its promises of adding 'a modern touch to your outdoor space'. It's a lot lighter than it looks too, so it's easy to move it around when you're trying to find the perfect spot for it, or want to drag it a bit closer as the night draws in."
The fire pit is getting five-star reviews on Aldi's website. Although at £79.99 one customer does describe it as 'a bit pricey', saying they bought a power washer for the same amount. But if you are going to be spending on the garden this summer, then you may as well get something that does two things in one, says Emma.
