The Darkness to play at Bristol Beacon during 20th anniversary UK tour

The Darkness will be heading to Bristol in December as part of a tour that will see them celebrating 20 years of their first album, 'Permission To Land'. The tour will consist of nine dates, including here at the Bristol Beacon, and will see the band, fronted by Justin Hawkins, perform the full track list in its entirety.

Some of the hits fans can look forward to include 'Growing On Me', 'Love Is Only A Feeling' and 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love'. They'll also perform some other hits from their seven-album discography, including songs from their most recent album 'Motorheart' and that much loved Christmas track, 'Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End)'.

This news comes some months after the band announced 13 dates for a European leg of the anniversary tour, back in March. And, since then, British and Irish fans have been eagerly awaiting news of when they'll get a chance to see them perform in a town near them.

The Darkness recently supported Glastonbury headliners Guns N' Roses at London's British Summer Time (BST) festival in Hyde Park, where they announced the UK leg of the tour to a roaring crowd. A deluxe edition of 'Permission To Land', titled 'Permission To Land... Again' is also expected to arrive later in the year.

Tickets for the nine UK dates, including that at Bristol Beacon on December 14, 2023, go on sale this Friday. You can find out more, and bag yourself some tickets via the official website here.
