Having all but secured the maillot jaune on the queen stage to the Col de la Madeleine, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot (Visma-Lease a Bike) tightened her grip on the general classification even further by going solo once again to win the final stage of the Tour de France Femmes and seal the overall victory.
After an impressive performance from Sarah Gigante (AG Insurance-Soudal) on the Col de la Madeleine, her hard work was undone on the final stage, as she lost touch with the maillot jaune group on the descent of the Col de Joux Plane and was left isolated in the valley that followed. She would lose three and a half minutes to the other GC contenders by the finish at Châtel, moving her off the podium and into sixth overall.
