The Coca-Cola Christmas truck is coming to Scotland this weekend – see where

COCA-COLA has announced that its long-awaited Christmas truck tour is coming to Edinburgh this weekend.

The popular event, which has been associated with the festive season for many years now, promises to be bigger and better than ever.

This year's tour will support the country's biggest hunger and food waste charity FareShare with the equivalent of a meal being donated for every person who turns out to see the truck.

The company is aiming to donate around one million meals across the country this season.

Beyond charity, the event will also be a great opportunity for visitors to enjoy festive games, participate in a lucky dip with the chance to win "exclusive" Coca-Cola merchandise and experience a festive food truck that will serve up delicious seasonal tastes.

Coca-Cola's Christmas truck is coming to Edinburgh this weekend

Those looking to see the iconic Coca-Cola truck in the Scottish capital can do so on Saturday, November 30 when it comes to Fort Kinnard (EH15 3RD) between the hours of 12pm and 8pm.

Florence Wheatley, marketing manager for Coca-Cola Great Britain, said the famous truck remains "synonymous with Christmas" and that many people across the country "eagerly await" its return every year.

She added that the company is "delighted" to continue its relationship with FareShare, adding that the truck not only allows people to experience the magic of Christmas but is also a fantastic way for people to do their part in the fight against hunger.

The truck will be coming to a number of places in the coming weeks, including Gateshead in Tyne and Wear on December 1.

Those unable to attend the event in person can still be in with the chance of winning a Christmas shopping voucher.

All they need to do is scan on-pack QR codes to be in the running.
