Nidal Malik Hasan is scheduled to face a firing squad more than 17 years after the Fort Hood attack, as plans for a livestreamed execution raise questions about transparency, military procedure and public access.

The US military is preparing to execute Nidal Malik Hasan, the former Army psychiatrist convicted of killing 13 people in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting.
