The Chase viewers were left distracted during Monday’s instalment of the hit game show, as one contestant revealed his cheeky credentials.
Dick, Sophie, Louis and Penelope were hoping to beat The Chaser and take home thousands of pounds.
The contestant up first against Chaser Paul Sinha was Dick, a company director from Cumbria.
But as the 69-year-old introduced himself to host Bradley Walsh, ITV viewers were left blushing and taking to Twitter to giggle at The Chase hopeful’s credentials.
One wrote: “Dick, 69 on The Chase,” alongside a series of laughing and aubergine emojis.
“Dick is 69?,” another posted alongside a meme, while a third wrote: “Dick, 69, from Cumbria They've done that on purpose.”
Dick is the UK marketing director for his son's design engineering firm based out in the Philippines.
When asked by Bradley what he would spend his winnings on, Dick said he'd promised each of his three grandchildren £10 and the rest would be put towards celebrating his 50th wedding anniversary.
In his cash builder, the 69-year-old won a solid £3000 and kept with the amount to make it through to the final.
He was joined by Sophie and Penelope who contributed an extra £57,000 to the prize pot, but The Sinnerman caught them with 16 seconds remaining and they left the ITV studio empty-handed.
The Chaser was full of praise for the team, saying: “You have to be absolutely proud of how you played.”
This comes after The Chase fans praised Paul Sinha after he suggested a new rule for players who take the low offer on the quiz show.
The Chaser wasn't impressed when contestant Debbie chose to take £2,000 off the team's total jackpot after going with the lower prize last week.
As the artist from Kent cheered over the two grand, Paul snapped: “I don't what you're so happy about...they've brought in new rules. If you get back you'll owe us two grand, sorry about that.”
Viewers flocked to Twitter and said the show's producers should take Paul's idea on board.
“Good man Chaser Paul. You only get out what you put in... New rules,” one wrote.
“If only they brought in that rule! #TheChase,” one commented, as another wrote: “Paul's rule would be very popular with the viewers.”
Another added: “People who take the minus option shouldn't win any money. Or should have the amount taken away, taken away from their cut.”
Hitting out at Debbie, one said: “Who cheers when you win the minus offer?”
