A Glasgow contestant on Monday's episode of The Chase has been called out by viewers for being "over-excited" during the final round of the show.
Stuart from Glasgow joined Harry from Solihull, Sarah from Doncaster, and Erica from Newcastle in an effort to take home £25,000. Against them was Chaser Anne Hegerty.
While the four contestants all won their individual rounds, when they got to the final showoff against Anne they were unsuccessful and left empty handed. This was primarily due to their inability to gain a strong enough lead against the Chaser.

While all four contestants correctly answered at least one question in the final round, many viewers at home were quick to point out that Stuart frequently buzzed to answer a question before host Bradley Walsh had finished speaking and was therefore unable to give the right answer.
One such moment occurred when Walsh began: "The animated film Rio is mainly..." However, Stuart buzzed before the host had finished the question and gave an incorrect answer.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "F**k sake, Stuart." A second wrote: "Stuart, stop buzzing too early."
"Stop buzzing in and f**king up, Stuart," argued a third, while a fourth questioned: "Why f**king buzz if you don’t know?"
"Calm down Stuart," joked a fifth. A sixth posted: "Stuart over excited."
"Stuart to blame for that failure," another viewer tweeted. An eighth said: "The smirk on Stuart's face when he's buzzed in early."
A ninth wrote: "He’s wasting time and having a laugh about it. Bit selfish." "Yeah, that was terrible," remarked another regarding the team's performance.
