The Chase star Mark Labbett looks slimmer than ever after sharing on set selfie

The Chase star Mark Labbett looked slimmer than ever after sharing selfies from the set of the popular ITV show.

Mark, better known as 'The Beast' by gameshow host Bradley Walsh, showed off his impressive slender frame following an incredible 10-stone weight loss.

The 57-year-old has been an ever-present on the daytime favourite programme since its inception in June 2009 - a run of 15 series.

He shared a glimpse from behind the scenes of the ITV gameshow as he posed alongside the only other 'chaser' to feature in every single series of the UK version of the show - Shaun 'The Dark Destroyer' Wallace.

Mark and Shaun were in casual attire compared to their usual sharp suit look that they wear for the show in the behind the scenes snap, with the latter pointing at 'The Beast' in the photo.

He warned his loyal Instagram followers about an imposter pretending to be him on the social media platform.

Mark wrote: "There is a fake account out there #markthebeastlabett who unfortunately cannot even spell my surname correctly."

He appeared leaner than ever as he rocked a black Psycho Bunny polo shirt in the snap, with Shaun wearing a dark t-shirt as he posed for the camera.

However, it was Mark's weight loss which saw fans flock to the comments section.

One person wrote: "Could slice potatoes on those jawbones," while another added: "You look incredible huge congratulations on your weight loss."

A third fan commented: "You look so much different and you look so much better you do," with a fourth replying: "You look great Mark!!"

Mark was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2017 after a nurse spotted how easily he had bruised his legs after a football game.

The common condition causes blood sugar levels to become too high and affects 4.7 million people in the UK.

Mark opened up about his weight loss during an appearance on Loose Women in November last year.

He explained: "I've gradually dropped x's off my size from 5XLto 4XL it looks like when I go shopping I'll be able to squeeze into XL pants. Small things but important things.

"I'm down to 21 stone now – I was 29 stone, 2lbs at my heaviest. My diabetes meds help because I eat so much less. I also drink a lot more fluids."
