Paul Sinah has received the overwhelming backing of The Chase fans after issuing an online 'apology' for how his Parkinson's disease had affected his behaviour on the show..
Known to millions of ITV viewers at formidable quizzer The Sinnerman, Paul has been a main player on the much loved tea time hit and its successful spin-off Beat The Chasers for years now, making light work of many an opponent, both members of the public and famous faces in the growing number of celebrity specials.
Back in 2019, Paul broke the news that he'd been diagnosed with Parkinson's, a debilitating condition in which parts of the brain become progressively damaged over many years. As he made the announcement to fans, Paul vowed to fight the disease 'all the way' and then two years later, as he geared up to appear in the second series of Beat The Chasers in 20021, made a candid admission to followers about the impact Parkinsons could have on his quizzing abilities, taking to Twitter to write: "Parkinsons is a disease process which may or may not deeply affect how I quiz. Though there's no doubt the medication creates irregular bouts of tiredness that don't really help."

Fans were quick to tell Paul that no apology was needed, with one swiftly replying: "No need to apologise! I love your witty conversations with the contestants and Bradley." A second responded: "Absolutely no need and good on you, you're delightful."
Hailing Paul as an inspiration, another of his followers tweeted: "You are amazing and a inspiration to many of us with long term illnesses, never apologise for being authentic"
