The Chase's Mark Labbett was left devastated as he bid farewell to his new girlfriend Hayley Palmer.
The star, known as ‘The Beast’ on the hit ITV quiz show, took to social media to share a sweet message as he and Hayley shared an emotional goodbye on Sunday.
Mark, 57, first met Hayley at the National Television Awards in October, and they’ve been smitten ever since.
The genius quiz show star has been filming the US version of The Chase in Los Angeles, as well as new game show Master Minds, and his TV presenter girlfriend flew out to join him, but her trip came to an end over the weekend, leaving Mark heartbroken.
“It was Hayley's last day today. Missing her already,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories, alongside a broken heart emoji.
And it seems Mark is trying to keep his mind off his girlfriend's departure by indulging in some rest and relaxation.
"Great day, watching Captain America on the couch followed by US Open Golf," he tweeted on Sunday.
Hayley has previously spoken about her blossoming romance with The Chase star, and said they had been set up by her agent, who also represents Mark.
She told MailOnline that Mark had been persuaded to appear on her YouTube show, Saturday Night with Hayley Palmer, and she impressed him by getting almost every question right during an 80s themed quiz.
They then met again at the NTAs in October, and have been enjoying each other’s company ever since.
She said it’s been “fantastic” spending time together in Los Angeles, as they’re able to walk around being a couple without being hounded by paparazzi.
“This is the first time we've been able to do more than the odd date so it's been fantastic. We are getting on well and are happy,” Hayley said.
The couple are reportedly “determined” to make it work, and they’ve been on several low-key dates while Mark - who is also dad to a six-year-old son - is busy filming.
“Our idea of a romantic hot date is going to a local American Diner called Patti's for a cheese toastie!” she laughed.
