The Chase's Bradley Walsh supports contestant after Jenny Ryan's 'savage' comment

A contestant on ITV's The Chase hit out at the Vixen over a "savage" comment she made during Tuesday's show.

This week's second instalment of the popular quizzing programme saw Bradley Walsh once again welcome four new players to the studio. They were Kerry from Surrey, Ellena from Wirral, Alex from Fife, and Fraser from London

Kerry was first up, answering an impressive six questions correctly in her cash-builder round. After taking the middle offer from Jenny Ryan, she successfully made it back to the team with some cash in the bank.

Ellena was second to face the Chaser. Originally from Wirral, she told Bradley she is currently living in Hackney and working for a local authority there. If she won any money, she said, she would use it to buy a house in Liverpool.

The 26-year-old also explained she was a keen history fan, and said it came from being a ginger child and telling herself she was a reincarnation of fellow-ginger Queen Elizabeth I.

Sadly for Ellena, she was hit with a tough series of questions, and finished her cash-builder round with just two correct answers. Afterwards, the Vixen said: "Hello Elizabethan Ellena.

"I know that you're disappointed by that performance, but just imagine how disappointed Elizabeth I would have been to find out she was gonna be reincarnated as a local authority accountant".

As the audience began to laugh, Ellena simply said: "Savage", which Bradley then echoed. Unfortunately for Ellena, she was caught out and left the studio empty-handed.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
