The Chase's oldest ever contestant won the hearts of viewers and had them in fits of laughter with his hilarious remarks.
Val, 94, a retired veterinary surgeon from Solihull, was one of four people hoping to win cash on the ITV quiz show on Wednesday night. He appeared alongside contestants Andrea from Blackburn, Nabeel from Manchester and Meng, originally from Melbourne.
And host Bradley Walsh was soon left in hysterics at Val's witty remarks. He pointed out that he was the "oldest contestant" ever to have starred on the programme.

Val later admitted he also "felt like it", due to all the walking. Asked what he would do with any money he won, he awkwardly confessed that he would bank his winnings, as, with him turning 95 next month, he would "likely die" soon and the kids would get it.
"It's quite a lovely and chirpy outlook you have on life Val," said Bradley as he attempted to make light of the comment. "If we bag four or five grand you could get that spent on the candlesticks." Val then corrected the gameshow host and said "No, I was thinking of the grave."
Val went on to score a respectable £5,000 in the cashbuilder round, facing off against The Vixen. He made Bradley laugh once more saying he was only "sort of" happy with his winnings, as he "normally does better" when he watches his favourite programme from home, reports the Daily Record.
The Vixen, Jenny Ryan, offered him a high offer for "every year" of his life, at a whopping £94,000. But he stuck with his original £5,000 and secured his place in the final chase. Meanwhile, high-flying contestant Meng also bagged £5,000 for the team and booked her place in the final round.
Abeel, 25, a dentist with an interest in sports, admitted he hoped to get himself a new sports car with his winnings. He only scored £1,000 in his cashbuilder round, but was able to join Meng and Val in the final chase.
But 50-year-old writer Andrea was unable to get through. She got an impressive £6,000 in her cashbuilder but was caught by The Vixen before she could get through.
Meng, who works in an energy research company, got viewers talking with her exploits in the final chase. Fans claimed the Australian native "carried" the team, after providing all of the correct answers.
But The Vixen was on a hot streak and fired through her own questions, catching the team's score of 17 with 33 seconds remaining, to deny the trio a share of £11,000. Jenny said: "Absolutely fantastic show I have loved to meet this team. Everyone has contributed to this great team, Meng in particular."
And viewers agreed, with one saying: "Meng is absolutely bossing it she should be one of the chasers... gutted for her! #thechase." Another wrote: "#thechase Meng was merciless in that round what a star!"
"Meng proving that it’s better to play the final chase on your own. The other players should always encourage each other to go for the higher offer ‘Because I don’t want you to get back’… #TheChase," quipped a third.
