Host of the popular ITV show The Chase was left in shock as the first question against the chaser posed a surprisingly simple question to Radio DJ Melvin Odoom. The 42-year-old, who is best known for presenting on Radio 1 appeared on the quiz show's panel alongside Carl Fogarty, Louis Smith and Bonnie Langford on Sunday.
The show sees four contestants - this time, rather than regular people, the contestants are celebrities - team up against a general knowledge genius known as The Chaser in a bid to win thousands. Hosted by actor and presenter Bradley Walsh, the six 'chasers' on the show are made up of Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan and Darragh Ennis. Melvin opted to go up against Anne - aka The Governess - on tonight's show.

Bradley, 62, whose latest series of Breaking Dad with his son Barney aired earlier this week, was visibly amazed as the first question for Melvin, who kicked off the show, read: "A person who is employed to live in and maintain a lighthouse is known as a 'lighthouse...' what?"
While options A was 'holder' and B was 'maintainer', the obvious answer was that of 'keeper'. Upon reading the question, Bradley was heard exclaiming: "What sort of a question is that?"
After Mevlin chose 'keeper' as his choice, Bradley added, sarcastically: "Wow, how about that. Is that the right answer? Wow, who would have thought?" When Anne Hegerty's answer was also revealed as the same, Bradley said: "You put 'keeper'. Fancy getting that. How jammy."
