Bradley Walsh was left amused on a recent episode of The Chase when Darragh Ennis revealed that colleagues at his full-time job don't watch him on the popular quiz show.
The presenter, 62, introduced ITV viewers to four new contestants on Monday's episode. The group had consisted of players Belinda, Dan, Paul and Sabine.
They were hoping to beat chaser Darragh, 42, - known as the Menace. During Dan's head-to-head with Darragh, there was a surprising admission by the professional quizzer.
The neuroscientist revealed that he still works at a laboratory alongside being on the Chase. And he further shared that his colleagues don't watch him on the show.
It came up over a question about the shape of astrocytes, which are cells that resemble stars. Darragh said: "[A colleague] at my lab actually works on astrocytes so I definitely knew [it]".
Bradley appeared a little taken aback by the remark. He was heard asking the chaser: "Are you still working in your lab while you're doing this?"
Darragh responded: "Oh yeah, I'll be back in on Monday." It prompted Bradley to ask what his colleagues in the lab say to him about his involvement with the ITV show.

The chaser responded: "Oh, most of them don't watch it". He further commented: "They're nerds, but they're not that kind of nerds. Half of them don't even watch TV."
Bradley joked over the possibility of Darragh going into the lab and being asked about his week. He teased that his colleagues wouldn't know who the other chasers were.
He said: "What a fantastic thing though going into work and [being asked] 'What's your week been like?'. 'Well I was working with The Beast, the Dark Destroyer and the Vixen'. 'And who are they?' I love it."
It's understood that Darragh is a lab manager and research technician in biochemistry at the University of Oxford. He's said to specialise in researching the brains of insects.
As reported by the Irish Mirror, he has previously spoken about his job in science. He had stated that his work on the ITV quiz show is actually his "side gig", not his main job.
He said: "My day-to-day life hasn't changed." He added: "I will be going into the lab to do experiments. [...] The Chase is my side gig. My main job is I'm a scientist."
The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
