The Chase star Anne Hegarty couldn't hide her frustration as an eager quizzer beat her during a task during Friday's instalment of the ITV game-show.
The Governess, 63, looked highly unimpressed as clever contestant Hayley trumped her again and again during the first round of questions.
Overall, Hayley managed to beat the Chaser by one point as host Bradley Walsh praised her on her quiz skills.
"Well done Hayley! You've beaten The Chaser," Bradley enthused.
"First up and first to beat the Chaser. Put it there," he added as he gave the joyous quizzer a virtual high-five.
While 61-year-old Bradley showered Hayley with praise, Anne looked on with a grimace as she came to terms with the fact she was beaten and Hayley nabbed her team an impressive £5,000.
Anne's awkward reaction to losing comes after the ITV star recently admitted that she has given up on relationships.
The TV star has finally come to the conclusion that being single is 'brilliant'.
Anne, also known as the Governess on the ITV quiz for more than a decade, said: “I still get attracted to people, but there’s no point in pursuing it.”
"Quite apart from the fact that I’m probably not his type - I’m going to leave him very baffled and wondering what he’s done wrong. I love being isolated.
“It’s brilliant. I really don’t feel I’m missing out on relationships. I’m doing fine.”
Anne told The Mirror that her friends have always complained to her about being in bad relationships and that she advises them: “Just be on your own."
Anne knows what it’s like to be adored though.
The 62-year-old says The Chase is so popular in New Zealand, she is 'worshipped like a god' whenever she goes there and added: 'I can’t walk down the street in Auckland without being mobbed'.
