The Chase viewers were left "changing the channel" as they disagreed with a Bristol contestant's decision which also left host Bradley Walsh questioning what she was doing. Today's instalment of the 5pm ITV quiz show (April 27) saw project manager Vicki take on Chaser Jenny Ryan in an epic showdown, hosted by Bradley Walsh.
As Vicki's turn rolled around, Brad asked her what she did for a living. The 25-year-old, who is originally from Ipswich but moved to Bristol after studying mechanical engineering in nearby Bath, told the quizmaster: "I'm working at Rolls-Royce in Bristol, which, I hear, you used to work there."
"I used to work there many, many moons ago," he replied. Years before shooting to fame on our screens, Brad's first job was as an apprentice jet engineer for Rolls-Royce Helicopter Engines, playing in the company's football team on the side.

This was another similarity the pair had in common, as Vicki shared that she played five-a-side with men from work in her free time. The project manager was on the show to win money to get her to the US for a friend's wedding in Boston.
In the cashbuilder round, Vicki wowed her fellow contestants by racking up an impressive £8,000 before taking on Jenny Ryan. "I'm feeling generous," The Vixen said as she laid her cards out on the table and shared her low offer with Vicki. "£4,000."
After teasing a "high low offer", The Vixen offered Vicki a whopping £70,000 as a high offer, should she choose to accept. As Vicki asked her fellow contestants which offer she should take up, she was given conflicting advice as Gillian told her "£4,000 is great", whilst Adam suggested she would regret not taking the high offer.
Vicki told Brad: "£70,000 is tempting but, to be honest, the £40,000 is such a high low offer. I just want to get back there, I think I wanna play it safe."
Vicki was soon left regretting her decision, as The Vixen fell at the very first hurdle. When Brad asked Vicki which city was the first to host the Summer Olympics twice, she went with the correct answer of "Paris", whilst The Vixen went wrong with "London".
"I'm already regretting that low offer," she confessed.
Brad replied: "I can't believe you didn't go higher! What's the matter with you?"
It seemed that some fans watching along at home agreed with Brad, suggesting that Vicki should have stuck with her cashbuilder winnings or even accepted the "life-changing" amount of £70,000.
"Oh no, I know 4k is good but she went low," Basweld tweeted as Adrian Hayes agreed: "She's a better player than that."
"£4,000 as a low," said Triple 6. "Never seen that in a regular episode."
Unsurprisingly, Vicki cleared the first round with The Vixen, returning back to the panel with £4,000. Whilst the remaining three contestants entered the Final Chase 20 questions ahead of The Vixen, she, unfortunately for them, caught up, snatching their money and leaving them empty handed.
