The Chase fans have praised Mark Labbett for his slim appearance after the quizzer shared a selfie from the set of the ITV game show. The Beast, as he is better known, shared a snap with fellow 'chaser' Shaun 'The Dark Destroyer' Wallace on Instagram as he warned fans about a fake account impersonating him on the social media platform.
Mark's nickname is in part a reference to his imposing stature, standing at around 6ft 6in and having previously worn 5XL clothing. He has slimmed down in recent years and now has a more slender frame after shedding a remarkable 10-stone, reported The Mirror.
And many fans were more focussed on the 57-year-old's appearance than his imposter warning in his latest Instagram post. Alongside the selfie with Shaun, Mark wrote: "There is a fake account out there #markthebeastlabett who unfortunately cannot even spell my surname correctly :(".

Mark and Shaun are the only two chasers to have appeared in all 15 series of the UK version of The Chase dating back to 2009. In the snap, they were dressed much more casually than the sharp suits they are usually seen in on the popular show hosted by Bradley Walsh.
Although Mark has posted the same photo previously, many fans were taken aback by his transformation as they praised him in the comments. Mandy McBean wrote: "Looking very chiselled there Beasty!"
Lynda Gough commented: "You look incredible, huge congratulations on your weight loss". Another user, rman0141, added: "Could slice potatoes on those jawbones".
Karen Pate gushed: "Love that photo. You both look so handsome. X" and mel9571 posted: "You look so much different and you look so much better you do." William Cope added: "Looking good beast!"
Cheryl Beckx wrote: "You're looking great Mark" and Amanda Dunn said: "Looking good, great pic". April Casey commented: "You look amazing Mark".
Mark, who was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2017, spoke about his weight loss on Loose Women last November. He said: "I've gradually dropped x's off my size from 5XLto 4XL, it looks like when I go shopping I'll be able to squeeze into XL pants.
"Small things but important things. I'm down to 21 stone now – I was 29 stone, 2lbs at my heaviest. My diabetes meds help because I eat so much less. I also drink a lot more fluids."
