The Chase viewers accused Bradley Walsh of "throwing shade" at Mark Labbett during Tuesday's quiz show.
Bradley welcomed four new players on this week's second edition of the popular ITV programme.
Amy, John, Claire and Steven were testing their wits against The Beast in a bid to win big money.

First up was Amy, a humanitarian aid worker from Cambridgeshire.
When asked which Chaser she would like to play against, the 24-year-old told Bradley she "has a bit of a crush" of Shaun Wallace, but also likes Anne Hegerty as she is a "strong and independent woman".
When the Chaser revealed themselves as none other than Mark Labbett, Amy's jaw dropped.
Introducing him, Bradley said: "It's not Shaun, oh no. Not Anne.
"It's the bad boy of quiz himself, it's the set-bashing beast Mark Labbett."
Bradley's joke referred to an episode when Mark stormed off set after losing out to a team who managed to take home a huge jackpot of £21,000.
He also hit a wall on his way out.
Mark later took to his Twitter account to issue an apology to viewers of the ITV quiz show.
He wrote: "Apologies to those of you disappointed with my behaviour tonight. My mental health was shot before that game, it was storm off or break down in tears. A remorseless diet of quality opponents didn’t help #thechase."
It appears he has moved on from the incident, as he took Bradley's ribbing in good humour.
Replying, Mark said: "I haven't bashed the set for, ooh, days now."
Some viewers were quick to comment on Bradley's words.
Taking to Twitter, MissLionHeart said: "Set bashing? Bradley is throwing shade at Mark"
CarlyB25958602 said: "'Set bashing' [cry-laughing emoji] savage Brad"
TinyPurplePug said: "Would absolutely love to see Bradley go against Mark"
