The Los Angeles Chargers social media team went deep into their bag of tricks for this one.
On Wednesday, Adam Schefter reported that the Chargers will hire Jim Harbaugh as their next head coach after days of speculation. USA TODAY Sports reported the hire as well.
Harbaugh, fresh off winning his first college football national championship with the Michigan Wolverines, was the hottest coach on the market this offseason by a long shot after years of speculation as to when he’d make the jump back to the NFL.
And it seems the Chargers social media team was ready for this announcement, as mere minutes after Schefter’s report, they posted a quick few second Twitter video of white smoke pouring out of a chimney with the team’s logo on it.

For those unfamiliar, when a new pope of the Catholic Church is chosen at the Vatican, white smoke will pour out of a chimney at the Sistine Chapel to signal that a decision has been made. A pretty great reference, all things considered!
Not only that, the Chargers also posted Harbaugh’s signature rally cry from his time at Michigan not long after.
WHO’S GOT IT BETTER THAN US??

Seems like this is a match made in heaven!
