Celtic's attacking philosophy can take them to the Champions League knockout stage and it would be an 'unreal achievement'
That's the verdict of former English Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny who reckons Ange Postecoglou and his troops can't be too disheartened by the start they have made to their group section. The ex-Republic of Ireland goalie believes picking up results away from home is huge for the Scottish champions because they are capable of beating anyone at home.
Real Madrid left Glasgow on matchday one with all three points but Kenny says the Hoops can't read too much into the result against the reigning European champions. The home side were well in the game for the first hour with Callum McGregor hitting the post and both Liel Abada and Daizen Maeda missing big opportunities with the score level.

That kind of performance coupled up with results on the road has the 44-year-old believing they can reach the last 16 - but says even dropping into the Europa League is not the worst outcome.
Speaking to Football Insider, the former Sheffield United and QPR goalie said: “Celtic can’t be too disheartened if they are getting beaten in Europe, they are in a hard group.
“Getting away draws is big for them because they can beat anyone at home, well, maybe not Real Madrid but even the best teams in the world would struggle to do that.
“They can’t read into the Madrid game, they were well in the game until the first goal went in.
“Celtic can get into the next round playing like that and that would be an unreal achievement for them.
“But let’s be honest, dropping into the Europa League wouldn’t be the worst thing for them either.”
