When Capri pants began creeping into the fashion-conscious last year, I was reminded of the baggy, low-rise style circa 2005, and it was a strong no from me. But, just like ballet flats have shaken off their school association, Capri pants have grown up – and grown on me.
The 2026 version takes inspiration from their 1990’s iteration. Slim-cut, mid-rise, and tailored, they lean into a covetable, minimalist aesthetic. Capri pants are a smart alternative to leggings or denim, though just as flattering.
