Two shops in Bury have been caught selling vapes to an underage teenager.
The 17-year-old girl was sold a £5 Elf Bar in Walmersley Food & Booze, in Walmersley Road, and at the Nisa Local, in Parkhills Road, without being questioned.
She visited the shops as part of an investigation by the Mirror, which highlighted how easy it is for children to buy vapes. Despite it being illegal to sell vaping products to or buy them for anyone under 18, children were able to buy them without proving their age in as many as half the shops they visited.
